Basement and foundation walls
Stop a leaking crack in a foundation wall from the inside. The kit seals the crack face, then fills the crack with HyperFlex, a grout that reacts with water and expands to seal it.
Everything happens from the basement side. Epoxy seals the crack face and holds the ports. HyperFlex goes in through the ports and fills the crack behind it.
Each kit is made for up to 10 linear feet of crack.
For cracks up to ½″ wide in poured concrete, brick or stone walls.
BCR-KIT1 Basement Repair Kit
HyperFlex bonds to wet or dry concrete. It needs water to react.
HyperFlex is certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61.
Why fill the crack
A crack is the path water takes through the wall. Covering the face of it doesn’t close that path.
HyperFlex grout, expanding as it meets water
Epoxy surface seal and port
Water
Water can still move through the crack behind it and come out somewhere else on the wall.
It goes in through the ports and reacts with the water it meets and expands to fill the crack. It reacts slowly, so it travels farther into the crack before it sets.
Cured HyperFlex stays flexible, so it can handle small movement in the wall.
Fix the leak first. Once framing, drywall and flooring go up, a leaking crack is hidden, and the water damage happens out of sight.
10 ft Basement and Foundation Wall Crack Repair Kit
For vertical or diagonal cracks up to ½″ wide in poured concrete, brick or stone foundation walls. Not for concrete block.
What’s in the kit
Watch a crack get sealed with the kit, start to finish.
We recommend two days: ports and epoxy on day one, HyperFlex the next day.
Step 1 of 4 · Day 1
Scrub the crack with a stiff brush and scuff off any paint or sealer. Mark a port location every 8″ along the crack.
Step 2 of 4 · Day 1
Set each port on its mark with a ring of Pow-R-Stick putty so it stays on during injection. Spread 1/8″ of epoxy over the crack and around each port. Let it cure at least 6 hours, or overnight.
Step 3 of 4 · Day 2
Flush water through the ports from the top so the crack is wet. Then inject HyperFlex from the bottom port up, moving on when foam shows at the next port.
Step 4 of 4 · Day 2
Let the foam cure about 90 minutes. Knock off the ports with a hammer and chisel, then sand or scrape the epoxy smooth if you like.
You’ll need safety glasses, a stiff bristle brush, a marking pen, a caulk gun, a hammer, a chisel and pliers. For the best epoxy bond, keep the wall around the crack clean and dry. HyperFlex needs water to react, so you’ll wet the crack itself before injecting. In a cold basement, warm the cartridges to about 68°F in a bucket of hot water before you start.

Vertical or diagonal cracks up to ½″ wide in poured concrete, brick or stone foundation walls. One kit covers up to 10 feet of crack. It isn’t made for concrete block walls or horizontal structural cracks.
We recommend two days. On day one, prep the crack, set the ports with the Pow-R-Stick putty and apply the epoxy, then let it dry overnight. On day two, inject the HyperFlex and remove the ports. The epoxy needs at least 6 hours to cure before you inject, so if you start early you may be able to finish that evening. Overnight gives the best results.
Yes. HyperFlex bonds to wet surfaces and needs water to react. If the grout washes out of a fast-flowing leak before it reacts, contact Fernco before you start.
No. The ports sit on the surface of the crack and the epoxy holds them in place. There’s no drilling and no digging outside.
No. The kit seals a crack against water. If the wall is bowing, shifting or the crack keeps getting wider, have the foundation checked by a pro.
NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 is the standard for materials that come in contact with drinking water. HyperFlex grout is certified to it.
