Toilet flange repair
Fix a broken toilet flange without replacing it. The steel horseshoe goes under or over the broken bolt slot and screws to the floor, so the toilet bolt holds again.
A broken bolt slot can’t hold a toilet. Fix-A-Flange gives the bolt something solid to hold, to stop wobbly and leaky toilets without tearing out the flange.
The toilet bolt goes through here
Fasten it to the floor on each side of the bolt
Follows the flange, under or on top
Keep the flange. Repair the broken slot instead of cutting out and replacing the closet flange.
Flange materials: cast iron, plastic, copper and brass.
Under the broken flange is recommended when you can get it there. If you can’t, set it on top and shim the toilet if it doesn’t sit flat.
Fix-A-Flange Complete (PSF-100-2KIT) includes 4 screws for wood or concrete floors. With the PSF-100 single, use screws made for your floor.
PSF-100: one horseshoe for one broken slot.
PSF-100-2KIT: Fix-A-Flange Complete, two horseshoes and the hardware for both sides.
The PSF-100 single horseshoe, or the PSF-100-2KIT Fix-A-Flange Complete with two horseshoes and the hardware.
Fix-A-Flange, single
One steel horseshoe for one broken bolt slot. Screws and toilet bolts not included.
Fix-A-Flange Complete
Everything for both sides: 2 horseshoes, 4 wood or concrete screws, 2 toilet bolts with nuts, 2 washers and 2 plastic locking washers.
Slide it under the flange when you can. When you can’t, set it on top.
Recommended if possible. Remove the flange screws, slide the horseshoes under the broken flange and screw them down.
Set the horseshoes on the flange and screw them down. Check the toilet still sits flat. If it doesn’t, shim the toilet (shims sold separately).
Watch the Fix-A-Flange Complete ( PSF-100-2KIT ) go in, start to finish.
Shut off the water, flush, empty the bowl and tank, disconnect the supply and unbolt the toilet.
Put a toilet bolt through the center hole and lock it with a plastic locking washer.
Under: remove the flange screws and slide the horseshoe under the broken flange. Over: set it on top.
Keep the bolts centered on the flange and square to the wall.
Drill 3/16″ holes through the flange into the floor if needed, then screw the horseshoe to the floor.
Install a new toilet seal, reset and secure the toilet, turn the water on and flush to check for leaks.
Going on top? Measure the horseshoe height against the recess under the toilet first. If the horseshoe sits higher, shim the toilet.
Resetting the toilet?
Every reset needs a new toilet seal. Fernco Wax-Free Toilet Seals stick to the toilet and seal inside the drain pipe. No scraping, no mess, and floors up to ¾″ above the flange are covered.
