Terms of sale, returns and the limited warranty for Fernco products. Fernco sells through wholesalers and distributors. If you bought from a distributor or retailer, start with them for a return. Warranty claims come to us.

Fernco account customers
You buy directly from Fernco
Wholesalers, distributors and pipe manufacturers with a Fernco account. The terms, return policy and warranty on this page apply to your orders.
Contractors and homeowners
You bought from a distributor or retailer
Returns and exchanges go through the place you bought from, under their policy. If a product is defective within one year, the limited warranty applies and you can contact Fernco directly.

Returning product
For account customers returning to Fernco. Four requirements, in order.

Get factory authorization first
All returns must be authorized by Fernco before shipping. Contact customer service with the invoice number, part numbers and quantities.

Return within 90 days of the invoice date
Returns are not accepted after 90 days.

Pack in original cartons, in resalable condition
A minimum 15% restocking charge applies to standard Fernco products. The charge can be higher depending on the condition of the items received.

Prepay the freight
Freight must be prepaid on all return shipments.
Fernco custom parts are non-returnable.

Limited warranty
Limited warranty.
In short: Fernco products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the original purchase. Keep your receipt, follow the installation instructions, and contact customer service to make a claim. The full terms below govern.
Full warranty terms
Fernco warrants its product(s) against defects in workmanship or materials for one (1) year from date of original purchase (unless a shorter period is expressly provided with respect to a particular product). Fernco’s total liability under any warranty, or any other claim arising in any way from the product or its use, is limited, at Fernco’s option, to refund or replacement of any such product returned to Fernco within the one-year warranty period and determined by Fernco to be defective.
To the extent permitted by law, Fernco disclaims and excludes any and all other warranties, express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and in no event shall Fernco be liable for special, incidental or consequential damages. Failure to follow the installation instructions provided by Fernco will void this warranty.
To make a warranty claim, purchaser should have the original receipt and contact Fernco, Inc. Customer Service Department, 1-810-503-9000. Purchaser is responsible for any shipping charges.
If state law preserves implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, such warranties are limited to one year from the date of the original purchase and as otherwise set forth above. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so such limitation(s) or exclusion(s) may not apply to you. This written warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
