DWV testing
A flexible cap with a brass hose bibb clamps over an open pipe end, so you can run your drain line test and then drain it through a garden hose.
No more pulling a plug into a face full of water. Clamp the cap on a low pipe end, run the test, then hook up a hose and drain the line where you want it.
Clamps over the outside of a cut pipe end. No test tee or cleanout threads needed.
For DWV tests up to 10 ft of head or 5 psi, with the bibb closed.
Connect a garden hose, run it to a floor drain or outside, and open the bibb slowly.
One cap fits cast iron or Sch 40 plastic pipe of the same nominal size.
Loosen the clamp, but leave it on the cap. Push the cap over the open pipe end.
Tighten the stainless steel clamp to 60 in-lb.
Close the bibb, fill the system and hold the test your inspector requires.
Connect a garden hose, aim it at a drain and open the bibb slowly.
