After a period of pandemic uncertainty and supply chain challenges, Fernco is pleased to announce that the lead times of most product lines are back to the same levels their customers have come to appreciate.
Like many others during this unprecedented time, Fernco experienced increased demand for its products, raw material shortages and dramatically increased lead times.
To meet this demand, Fernco expanded operations by setting up additional production shifts and temporarily increasing work hours. While it was a challenge adapting to various staffing levels, the Fernco team responded with dedication, professionalism and resolve.
“We have a great team of employees in both production and distribution that have worked countless hours of overtime, including many Saturdays,” said Steve Dawson, operations manager at Fernco.
A new ERP system was implemented to streamline the entire ordering process, increasing efficiencies across the board and ensuring Fernco can meet the demands of today and beyond. From the initial order to product delivery, it is Fernco's goal to ensure that each order is processed with excellence.
“We thank you for your patience and a special thank you to all our employees at Fernco for their hard work in getting our backorders filled,” Dawson said.
Orders are now being processed and shipped in a few days rather than weeks. Of course, Fernco has some parts which require more assembly, or longer production time, but for the most part, production is back to normal lead times on those parts as well.
